The 4th Session of the 11th PSC Council was held in Guiyang
The 4th Session of the 11th PSC Council was held at Guizhou Huaxi Guest Hotel in Guiyang, from December 17th-18th. Council members attending the meeting included the President YANG Qun, the Vice-Presidents TONG Jinnan, DENG Tao and YAO Jianxin, the Secretary General WANG Yongdong, Executive Council Members ZHU Huaicheng, WANG Xiangdong, BAI Zhiqiang, HUA Hong, SUN Chunlin, WANG Yuanqing, the Ex-Council Member ZHAO Yuanlong and the Council Members LUO Hui, PENG Jin, ZHAN Renbin, SUN Yuanlin, ZHANG Zhaoqun, OU-YANG Hui, TONG Haowen, HUANG Zhibin, XIE Shucheng, JIN Xingsheng, JIN Jianhua, JIANG Baoyu, WU Tao, JI Shu’an, CHENG Muhong, FENG Zhuo, GONG Enpu, PENG Guangzhao, ZHAO Lijun, WANG Yufei, WANG Rujian, DENG Shenghui, ZHANG Zhijun and Wu Yasheng. The Executive Vice-Secretary General CAI Huawei, the Vice-Secretary SHAN Huachun, ZHANG Zhifei and HE Weihong, and the members of the PSC Secretariat are also present in the meeting. The Vice-President of the Guizhou University (GU) XIE Tiankai, the Dean and the CPC Secretary of the GU Resource and Environmental Engineering College – WU Pan and TENG Zhaohua respectively, were invited to attend the Council Session Ceremony.
The main themes of the meeting included the work summary of the year 2016, the establishment of the CPC organizations for the PSC, the preparation of the 2nd Joint Conference of the “Paläontologische Gesellschaft” and PSC, the work plan for the year 2017, the censorship of the rules of how to grant the added awards and scholarships, and the communication between the PSC branches. The meeting was hosted by the President YANG Qun, and the Vice-Presidents TONG Jinnan, DENG Tao and YAO Jianxin. In the morning of December 17th, President Yang addressed in the opening ceremony that the PSC had made great progress during the year of 2016. He showed his respect to all the council members and their organizations for their great supports in the year. Mr. XIE TianKai, the Vice-President of GU sent cordial greetings to all the council members and welcomed them to gather in Guiyang.
The Council meeting was largely supported by GU. The PSC Council hereby is very grateful to the efforts made by the GU Resouce and Environmental Engineering College, and particularly to that by Professor PENG Jin and Professor ZHAO Yuanlong, who are the Council Member and Ex-Member of the PSC, respectively.
