The PSC Members took part in the 1st Fossil Week of Centenary Lectures, Beijing University

The 1^st Fossil Week (May 3^rd – 7^th, 2016) took place in Beijing University. The ceremony was hosted by the Department of Geology and Environment of the Ministry of Land and Resources of PRC, the School of Earth and Space Sciences of Beijing University, the Office of the Panel of Paleontology and Fossil and the PSC. The experts in science research, popular science and fossil conservation and the local officials were invited. Many lectures were given by the academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the fossil researchers and experts on popular science. There were also fossil exhibitions.

The Fossil Week focused on the theme of “Strengthen the Research of Fossil Conservation, Develop ‘The Belt and Road’ Policy”. The PSC President YANG Qun was invited to give a lecture on the Fossils, Molecules and Evolutionary Tree. The PSC Honorary Member MU Xinan gave a lecture on popular science to the students of Beijing University, concerning “A Talk Between Science and Art”.
